I was born and raised in South Carolina and even from a very young age, I have had an interest in making different things. I played around with knife making in high school and then around 2014, I got my first anvil. It's been quite the adventure ever since! I have had many jobs from the food industry to construction, yet there is just something about forging that has really drawn me. I have always found such satisfaction in creating. There are many journeys in life and blacksmithing is but one of mine. I also work as an assistant at a local church where I have the privilege of encouraging and helping others in our community with their Christian journey. These two fields of work may seem vastly different, but I have found blacksmithing to be a great venue to help in the community and to create relationships with eternal value. There are only a few things in life that are eternal and although good quality knives and cookware will last generations, it is not near as important as our soul which will dwell somewhere forever. “For I am in a strait between two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better. Nevertheless, to in abide in the flesh is more needful for you.” Phil 1:23-24. None of these things would be possible without the support of my beautiful wife. She is the rock on which I am built and an amazing mother to our two daughters.

In 2022 I brought on Vince Molina (co-owner) and Joy Dekker (shop manager) As I delved more and more into handmade carbon steel cookware. Our team has grown and so has our product line. We now offer a wide variety of handmade cookware from our carbon steel pans to our stainless spatulas and coffee scoops. Vince’s background in the knife and culinary world has really pushed us forward! Joy’s creative spirit and love for everything handmade has made her a great addition to the team.
